BKV HOLDINGS group of companies encompasses a range of thermal insulation, ventilation, protective coating and soundproofing systems and applications. We stock, supply and install the above systems as determined by an assessment of the customer’s operational requirements. Drawing on cumulative member experience, specialized divisions are in place to offer and deliver high level, quality service. These respective divisions are: BKV Thermal; BKV Proline and BKV Encon.

Based in South Africa, major projects are undertaken throughout Southern, Central and Northern Africa. A recent expansion has seen the company open as Gulf Proline in the United Arab Emirates. All staff undergo regular training that is supplemented with external specialized courses to ensure their knowledge and skill set is up to standard.

BKV Holdings is a member of SEIFSA (Steel and Engineering Industries Federation of South Africa) and SCOC (Springs Chamber of Commerce) and has a BBBEE (Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment) compliance certificate.

SPECIALIZED DIVISIONS;

BKV THERMAL
Specialists in thermal insulation, ventilation and passive fireproofing systems. Various in- situ and retro fit systems are used to cover a temperature range from -180 to 1800 degrees Celsius. Some of the systems used are polyurethane injection, mineral, fibreglass and ceramic fibre wools and calcium silicate. Mechanical barriers such as full metal clad and heat transfer cements are commonly utilized. A full range of ducting profiles and components is manufactured and available. Passive fireproofing systems such as intumescent and mineral compounds are used to create passive firebreaks in building and electrical installations. BKV PROLINE
Specialists in surface preparation, protective wear linings, anti-corrosion, asset protection and roof rehabilitation applications. BKV Proline utilises the latest surface preparation, airless spraying, 1:1 and variable proportioning equipment. Methods used in surface preparation include grit, shot and high pressure water blasting; and scarifying.Recent developments in technology have seen the ability to apply Polyurea wear lining elastomers by means of high pressure spraying and trowel on castings. Polyurea is a new generation coating with exceptional mechanical strength, longevity benefits and anti-corrosion properties. Due to the rapid curing and application rates, maintenance down-time is drastically reduced. It also exhibits high tolerance for environmental humidity during the application process.

With anti-corrosion and wear lining protection, our main focus is high volume anti-corrosion and asset protection applications that include industrial flooring, structural members on varying substrates and foundation linings. Various high performance coatings such as epoxy, polyurea and polyurethane coatings are used.

Due the rising cost of roofing products, the need has arisen for the development of metal rehabilitation coatings such as Zinc Phosphate rust convertors, as well as CHBC (Ceramic Heat Barrier Coating). Unlike other coatings CHBC contains ceramic particles that dissipate UV rays. The heat load on the structure is thus reduced. CHBC is applied to yield a tough, watertight, roof membrane. BKV ENCON
Suppliers and applicators of fibreglass, soundproofing, dry walling and suspended insulated ceiling products for the domestic and industrial market sectors. BKV Encon is an official distributor for Isover insulation products and stocks the full range of fibreglass products. BKV Encon specialises in the application of domestic, factory and building insulation and has aligned itself with current legislation, promoting an energy awareness campaign and motivating people to insulate occupied dwellings. Thermal insulation in occupied buildings has been identified as the most attainable and cost effective short term solution to Southern Africa’s ongoing energy crisis. BKV ENCON utilizes array of products in its design and installation of sound proofed structures. This includes sound proofed booths, studios, generators, boardrooms and offices.

Track and stud light steel structures are utilized for dry wall partitioning to suit customer’s individual needs. Dry wall cavities can also be filled with an insulation medium in order to gain thermal and acoustic properties. BKV ENCON also specializes in the installation of suspended ceiling systems.
